Arrival and Handover
We treat the airport as a starting point, not a queue. Once your booking is confirmed, we agree a meeting point and time with you directly, tailored to your flight and the vehicle collected. There is no generic terminal desk system here — every handover is set up around your specific arrival, whether you are driving into the city, continuing toward the mainland, or heading further afield.
Flight Details and Documents
Share your flight number, arrival time and driver details when you book so the handover can be planned around your actual schedule rather than a fixed slot. A valid driving licence, identification, and the documents relevant to the vehicle category are required at collection; specifics are confirmed with your booking rather than listed generically here.
Choosing the Right Car for the Route
A short transfer into Venice calls for a different car than a longer touring day toward the Dolomites or the Veneto countryside. Families arriving for a longer stay often ask for one of our SUVs — the BMW X7 or Bentley Bentayga V8-S, for example — for the extra seating and comfort on longer drives, while self-drive clients heading out for a scenic day may prefer a convertible such as the Ferrari Roma Spider or BMW 430i Cabrio. We talk through the route with you before confirming the car, not after.
Returning the Car
Return handover is arranged the same way as pickup: a fixed point and time agreed in advance around your departure flight, so the return does not become the rushed part of the trip. Fuel, condition and any deposit release terms are explained at the start of the rental, not left until the last minute.
How pickup works
- 01
Book and Share Flight Details
Confirm your car and send your flight number and estimated arrival time so the handover can be planned around your actual schedule.
- 02
Meeting Point Confirmed
We agree the exact meeting point and time with you directly ahead of arrival; this is set per booking rather than fixed to one terminal desk.
- 03
Documents and Handover
Present your licence and identification, review the car and paperwork with our team, and take the keys.
- 04
Drive or Request a Driver
Self-drive from the airport, or request a chauffeur for the first leg if you would rather arrive without driving straight off a flight.

Airport Rental Questions
A quick read of what most rental clients ask before booking.
-
Can I rent for just one day, a weekend, or the full week from the airport?
Yes. One-day, weekend and weekly formats are all available; the length of the rental simply shapes which car and handover timing make sense for your arrival.
-
Which car is best suited to the drive from VCE into the city or further afield?
For a short run into Venice, a compact luxury or sport model is usually enough. For longer touring days toward the Veneto countryside or the Dolomites, or for families needing more seats and boot space, an SUV such as the BMW X7 or Bentley Bentayga V8-S is a better match.
-
What are the insurance, mileage and cross-border terms?
Insurance cover, mileage allowance and any cross-border permissions vary by vehicle and rental partner and are confirmed with you at the time of booking, before the handover.
-
Is there a fixed meeting point at the terminal?
There is no single fixed desk. Each handover point and time is agreed directly with you around your flight, once the booking is confirmed.
-
Can I book a car for arrival with very little notice?
Availability depends on the fleet at the time of your request; contact us with your flight details and we will confirm what can be arranged.
-
Is a chauffeur available instead of self-drive from the airport?
A chauffeur option can be requested for airport collection instead of driving yourself; let us know when you book so it can be arranged.
