Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files a website can place on your device to remember information between visits. Local storage and session storage work similarly but live directly in your browser rather than in a dedicated cookie file; they can hold small pieces of data for as long as the site sets.

priveocars.com does not set any cookies of its own. The few pieces of information we store in your browser use local storage and session storage instead, and they are described below. We also do not use third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking scripts on this site.

We count visits with a script that runs from our own domain, not from a third-party analytics provider. It records which pages were viewed, time spent on each page, the referring website, any campaign parameters present in the link (such as UTM or ad click identifiers), device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language, and the country derived from the IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.

To tie this activity together between visits, the script uses two random identifiers held in local storage, listed in the table above, which expire 30 days after your last visit. If you submit the enquiry form or reach us through a WhatsApp or phone link on the site, that action is linked to the same visit so we know which channel brought the request in — this helps us reply through the right route and understand which pages are useful to visitors, without building an advertising profile of you.

Beyond visit measurement, the site keeps two small items in your browser, both listed in the table above:

• a local-storage entry that remembers you have already seen and closed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page;
• a session-storage entry that remembers which car you clicked on, so the enquiry form that opens afterwards is already filled in with that car; it disappears as soon as you close the tab or send the form.

Neither entry contains your name, email, phone number or any other contact detail.

A small number of resources are loaded directly from third-party servers so the page displays and functions correctly: web fonts from Google Fonts, the phone-number input tool from the jsDelivr content delivery network, and the destinations map, which draws on the Leaflet library from unpkg.com and map tiles from CARTO based on OpenStreetMap data. Each of these providers automatically receives the visitor's IP address as part of the technical request needed to deliver the file, in the same way any web server does; none of them is instructed by us to set a cookie or build a profile.

The WhatsApp buttons on the site work differently: they do nothing on our page until you click one. At that point your browser opens a WhatsApp conversation; nothing is placed on priveocars.com by WhatsApp itself. We do separately record that the click happened, as described above, to know a conversation started from our site, but that record is kept in our own booking system, not in a cookie. The Tripadvisor and Trustpilot links in our footer are plain links too — nothing loads from those platforms unless you click through to them.

You can view, block or delete local storage, session storage and cookies at any time through your browser's settings; the exact steps vary by browser, but the options are usually found under privacy or site data settings. Blocking the storage used on this site may mean the cookie notice reappears or that a selected car is no longer carried over to the enquiry form, but it will not stop you from browsing the site or contacting us at [email protected].

This policy is written under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as implemented in the country where you access this site, and you can raise concerns with the data protection authority of your EU country of residence. If we ever introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary for the site to work, we will ask for your consent before they are set and will update this page to describe them.
