Lake Starnberg. A short run south of the city on the A95, ideal for an afternoon behind the wheel of something you actually want to drive. Roads around the lake are narrow in places, so a compact GT or convertible handles better than a wide SUV. Parking in the lakeside villages fills quickly on warm weekends.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Alpine foothills. The natural pick for ski-season transfers, with the drive time shortened noticeably in a car built for the climb. Winter tyres and confident all-wheel traction matter more here than horsepower; we help match the vehicle to the season rather than just the badge.
Neuschwanstein and Füssen. A longer day out through Upper Bavaria's open countryside, best suited to a car with real cruising comfort. Castle-area parking is limited and often some distance from the sight itself, so plan for a short walk regardless of what you're driving.
Salzburg. A cross-border route that works well for a business day trip or a scenic loop back through Bavarian villages. Rentals used for this route should have clear terms on cross-border driving confirmed with us in advance.
Oktoberfest and the Theresienwiese. During the festival, road closures and heavy foot traffic around the grounds make hotel-to-venue logistics a genuine planning question, not an afterthought. We arrange delivery to central hotels and advise on realistic drop-off points rather than promising access that doesn't exist during peak hours.
