Rent premium cars in Sardinia

Porto Cervo and the Costa Smeralda. The natural base for a rental in Sardinia: marina-front hotels, boutique shopping streets and a concentration of restaurants that fill fast in July and August. Valet parking is common at hotels here, which suits a lower, wider car better than the narrow lanes further inland.

Palau and the Maddalena gateway. Palau's port is the departure point for boat trips into the Maddalena archipelago's protected waters, so many clients keep a car here for the day and collect it again on return. Parking near the port fills early in peak season.

Gallura's granite interior. Inland Gallura is a different kind of drive: tight bends through granite outcrops and cork woodland rather than coast road. A car with responsive steering and good visibility makes more sense here than a strict cruiser.

Alghero and the Riviera del Corallo. Alghero's old town sits close to its airport, making it a practical handover point for clients flying into the northwest rather than Olbia. The coast road toward the Riviera del Corallo is wide and well surfaced, suited to an open-top drive.

Cagliari and the south. Cagliari draws a different client: business travellers and those combining a stay with meetings in the capital. Traffic in the historic centre is tighter than the north, so a compact luxury saloon or SUV is often the more comfortable choice, with the Poetto seafront a short drive from the centre.
