Puerto Banús. The marina and its boutique streets suit a low-key convertible or a coupé you can park close to the boardwalk. Evenings bring valet-friendly restaurants, so a compact sports model is easier to manage than a full-size SUV.

Golden Mile. The stretch of villas and five-star hotels between central Marbella and Puerto Banús rewards a car with real road presence. Traffic moves slowly at peak hours, so an automatic with smooth low-speed handling works better than a high-revving track car here.

Benahavís. The hill roads climbing toward this village tighten quickly, with switchbacks better suited to a nimble GT than a wide supercar. Parking near the restaurants is limited, so arriving earlier in the evening avoids circling for a space.

Ronda. The mountain route north gives a longer, faster drive with open bends and changing elevation—good territory for a car with strong mid-range power. Fuel up before leaving the coast, as stations thin out once the road climbs.

Estepona. The coast road west toward Estepona stays flatter and more relaxed, ideal for a cabriolet with the roof down. The old town's narrow lanes are best left on foot, so plan to park near the marina and walk in.
